Around 6/21/12
Hey Everyone! Aloha!
Thank you for your prayers and support.  The mission field here in Hawaii is truly white and ready for the harvest.  The individuals on the other page* are only a short and vague list of people that I have had the privilege of witnessing come closer to the Savior.  I am so very thankful for the Spirit.  I have never felt as utterly inadequate as I do when attempting to teach.  Thankfully God knows and understands this, and has sent his Spirit before and after me.  It is incredible to be able to witness, first-hand, the promises in D&C 84:88-89 being fulfilled.  The church must be true! :)
I've heard it said (I assume by a general authority) that "whom the Lord calls, He qualifies." I'm still working on that one. :) As a way to sort of "help ourselves," to become qualified, as a zone we are reading the entire Book of Mormon... in three weeks.  This translates into roughly 25 pages a day, which translates into approximately an hour and a half of reading time. Normally this wouldn't be too big of a deal, but as a missionary, time is so much harder to come by. Hence the lack of descriptive letters/emails. (Sorry about that...) Suffice it to say most if not all of my study time for the past week has been completely devoted to reading. Not even taking notes, but I have already begun seeing the blessings of simply doing what has been asked of me.
I'm sorry but I've got to wind this up. More meetings. :) There is so much I wish I could share with you all. It'll just have to wait I suppose. I love all of you so much. Mahalo for the letters and please keep them coming!
What's everyone's favorite scriptures? :)
Aloha!

Hey!
Ya the MTC is pretty great. There is not a single person in my district that I wouldn't do anything in the world for. I love them all very much.
I'm so sad I have to miss Caleb's graduation!! You'll all have to send me lots of pictures! And as far as pics go I'm not sure how exactly you wanted me to go about sending you any cause like I told mom and dad at the air port, I totally forgot the cable for the camera ..... I would appreciate it if you'd send that along with some pics of everyone. Not just in an email but something I can tape to the wall or something.
Tell Caleb congrats on getting his forerunner going! That's awesome! A gasket shouldn't cost very much.
I'm really sad I missed K.J.'s flip. And I know that with Tiff and him singing the concert must have sounded amazing!
I was so stoked to hear about the state track meet! Good news is always welcome and bad news is never discouraged ;) In other words you all can't write too many letters. Even the slight and seemingly insignificant insights to the life of Round Valley is gladly and greatfully appreciated.
As far as email goes I still haven't set it up so if any of you want emails you'd better send me some addresses. If you feel weird about it going through the mail then use Dearelder.com pretty sure it's free as long as I'm at the MTC.
Oh and I got my flight plans and stuff. I land in Hawaii May 29th at 2:20 local time. I will be calling you Monday morning around six or seven-ish from the Salt Lake air port. So that'll be 5 or 6 your time. That is assuming everything goes as planned. I don't even know if you'll get this letter before then. Anyways I'm out of paper.

ps (from Mom) I think Elder Whiting meant he would call on Tuesday morning, which is the 29th...

May 10, 2012

Hey there folks!
So I know I've only been here a couple days, but they've set time aside for us to write. So I'm writing. The MTC is . . . Interesting. It's been an information overload. This large campus with all these missionaries is something else.
My companion's name is Elder Taylor. He's a good guy.
There is so much I could write already! Alas I must get back to my scripture study. We have a practice teaching lesson tomorrow that we have to prepare for.
The card in this envelope is my address for here at the MTC*. Please use it unsparingly! IDK when/if I'll have to write snail mail the next few weeks but I'll love to get a few letters.

Love
